Say hello to Sumo®! Inspired by the needs of supermoto racers who require both extreme flexibility and extreme protection, the Sumo® gloves are ideal for street riding too. In fact, to make it even more useful for everyday riding, we added a new touch screen interface to the finger tips for controlling your iPhone/Android/GPS, etc.

The secret to adding protection without sacrificing our legendary flexibility and comfort is the use of a specialized Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) material. Its computer optimized, segmented design is transparent to the user yet provides serious impact resistance.

Compared to the standard DeerTours®, the Sumo® has a half-inch longer cuff with a closed-loop design. It also adds impact protection to the knuckles, fingers and wrist bones.

Proudly made in the USA.

    Lived Up to the Hype

Posted by Scott on 7th May 2019

I've owned many other brands, nothing feels like Lee Parks and these combine great protection (though it is very flexible) and insanely good feel on the controls with finger touch that works on my Samsung S9+ perfectly. Expensive but worth it, these are my favorite gloves.

    Quality control could be better

Posted by David Thomas on 1st May 2019

For the most part these gloves seem to be well made. They are comfortable even in south Louisiana heat and humidity. I have not had them long enough to know how long they will last. The only problem i have is the middle finger on the right glove is to long. It is not just my fingers becaus compared to the left one it is about a half inch longer. For the price you would expect them to be semetrical.

    Finally found gloves I like

Ordered 5 or 6 pairs online. Returned them all. These are really nice. Soft and tough. Not sure how they accomplished that but they did.

3rd pair of Lee Parks Design Gloves

Posted by Tobias on 25th Mar 2019

These Sumos are my third pair. My first pair was the basic summer glove (outward facing seams), the second the winter glove, and now the Sumo. I like the added (short) cuff and of course the exoskeleton armor. The fit is not as comfortable as the earlier purchases out of the box (the pinkie fingers are tight in the bent position), but I fully expect them to wear in quickly. I also love the touchscreen capable thumb and index finger tips.

    Best Gloves Thus Far

Posted by Roland on 13th Mar 2019

Can't say enough great things about these gloves. The deerskin leather is so much different than the cow skin leather and it's obvious from the moment you pick up the gloves. The fit was surprisingly spot on based on the size chart. I'm a Small in the Sumo's but wear Medium in most other brands. These gloves are superior to every other brand I've tried, almost like a second-skin without being restrictive. They were tight initially but after one day of riding they conformed to my hand and felt like I had owned them for years.

I also really wanted a glove that had touch screen capability that actually worked, and was really glad to find that the Sumos worked excellent with my iPhone. I was also a tad worried that the TPR material would be restrictive but that was not the case. The material is very soft (similar to silicone) and flexes easily with your hand. I also appreciate the closed loop velcro closure because I have small wrists and find that with most other velcro-tab gloves the wrist was always loose. The closed loop lets me get a nice secure fit with full velcro contact.

Lastly, if you're concerned about the price (as I was initially) consider that these gloves may be the last pair you buy for a very long time. Had I known this in the beginning I could have saved myself the cost of running through a different brand every few months.

Same features but with more protection

Posted by David Hessler on 24th Jan 2019

I have owned LParks Design gloves for many years. I was concerned about adequate abrasion protection. The Sumo retains the good qualities of LPD, but gives the wearer additional protection.

    Great gloves,
The in stitches hurts the thumb. so buy the right size or Out Stream gloves.
    Rest all okay
